Multiplication Arrays!

Students began learning about multiplication and what it means last week by building arrays. Although eventually memorizing multiplication facts is important (just like addition and subtraction), it is also important that students understand WHAT and HOW multiplication works. Building arrays is a great example of this. Practice building arrays at home for extra practice!

The Best Way to Learn!!

Last week students learned about 3d shapes and how they are different from 2d shapes. Students studied vertices, edges, and faces.
As a hands on activity, we used gumdrops and toothpicks to represent vertices and edges. The students did a fantastic job and are now masters of 3d shapes!
